The short version
JobRoadmaps does not require you to create an account. We do not sell your data. We collect standard analytics to understand how the site is used, and we use cookies only for that purpose. Some links on this site are affiliate links — we earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you.
Information we collect
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics to measure page traffic, session duration, and navigation patterns. This data is aggregated and anonymised — we see that "500 people visited the Python roadmap this week," not who those people are. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Information you send us
If you email us at info@jobroadmaps.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
What we do not collect
We do not collect names, payment information, or any personally identifiable information during normal site use. There is no registration, no login, and no user account system.
Cookies
We use cookies for four purposes: Google Analytics (aggregated traffic measurement), Microsoft Clarity (which records how people use pages to help us improve them), Bing, standard session management, and advertising. Our advertising is served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies to show ads and to measure how they perform. Where consent is required, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, a consent message from Google lets you accept or manage these cookies before personalised ads are shown. Disabling cookies will not meaningfully affect your ability to use this site.
Affiliate links
Some links on JobRoadmaps — primarily links to courses, books, and tools — are affiliate links. When you purchase through an affiliate link, we may receive a commission from the retailer or platform at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which resources we recommend or how we rank them. We disclose affiliate relationships throughout the site.
Third-party services
JobRoadmaps uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — traffic measurement
- Microsoft Clarity — records how people use pages, to help us improve them (includes session recordings and heatmaps)
- Google AdSense — advertising, where enabled
- Cloudflare — site delivery and performance (our infrastructure provider)
Data retention
We retain Google Analytics data for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Since we hold virtually none, these requests are typically resolved by confirming that no data exists. To make a request, email info@jobroadmaps.com.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our data practices change. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
